"I am sure the troops in Iraq, the forgotten victims of Katrina, the people being gauged at the gas pumps are grateful that President Bush is focusing on the central issue facing our nation: how to bar gay Americans from someday maybe getting the right to obtain a civil marriage license.
Bush first announced Federal Marriage Amendment in feb 2004 – since that day
1,943 American soldiers were killed in Iraq.
